Long Bio
Daniel Bishop’s journey to becoming an author has been a long one. His high school English teacher encouraged him to pursue writing but wasn’t interested in that at the time. He spent a few years after high school fumbling around with college and then joined the Army when he was twenty years old. He was an MP for four years.
After the Army, Daniel married and had a daughter. He started thinking more about being a writer in his late twenties but didn’t know what to write about. He had a basic idea but nothing concrete. He was divorced in 2003. When he eventually married again, it took over three years for his wife to become pregnant, and then she miscarried. Daniel and his wife ultimately became foster parents and adopted one of the children they had in their home.
After being a foster family for a while, Daniel was in his late thirties and realized his platform. He writes faith-based novels on foster care and adoption.
Daniel lives in Knoxville, Tennessee, with his wife and their adopted daughter.
