What I’m Up To

I started reading Robert Whitlow’s books based on my wife’s recommendation. She hounded me unmercifully until I started reading them. Now, I’ve read more of them than she has and I’m giving away the plot on the ones she hasn’t read as payback.

I’m glad she nagged me to start reading them. I’ve always liked legal thrillers and his are excellent but also have a strong Christian theme to them. They always have a powerful ending and leave you with some things to ponder.

I’ve finished my edits to the first draft of my book Family Tree Place of Redemption. I then sent it to my twin brother to read and give me feedback. We’re identical so he thinks a lot like me, and he’s been letting me know about all the errors I made. Pointing out all the places where things don’t make sense and maybe I should do this or that. I’m beginning to rethink letting him read it.

I’m kidding. All the things he’s finding and suggestions he’s making are exactly what I need to make the book better. Most of the things he’s pointing out, I didn’t see them even though I’ve read the manuscript several times. That’s why it’s good to have a fresh set of eyes look at it and I’m thankful he’s willing to pick it apart.

In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence,
And His children will have a place of refuge.
